Salary: £48,202 rising to £51,308 per annum
Salary is made up of a base pay of £44,075 rising by annual increments to £47,181 with an additional Market Force Supplement of £4,127 (subject to annual review).
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week
Location: Flexible working options are available. The role will be based at Dorchester Support Offices, Poundbury OR Trowbridge Fire Station with flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices. There will be travel across Dorset and Wiltshire approximately 1 to 2 days a week for key activities and meetings.

About The Role
Are you looking for a new opportunity to join a collaborative team as a Senior Building Surveyor (Projects)? We are recruiting to join our Assets Team to work on exciting and prestigious projects across Dorset and Wiltshire. The team delivers excellence for communities and the environment. You would work on future strategic projects aligned with our community safety plan. Your property portfolio will range from fire stations to corporate offices. You will support key stakeholder relationships and the feasibility of future projects, seeing them through to completion.

Responsibilities
* Be responsible for advising and assisting in coordinating the strategic capital projects programme with the Strategic Estates Project Coordinator
* Carry out feasibility studies on potential strategic capital projects, including costings, town planning compliance, and preparing feasibility reports for the Estates Strategic Project Manager
* Assist with the management of contractors and external consultants to deliver the strategic capital projects
Qualifications
* MRICS/MCIAT/RIBA or equivalent qualification, educated to degree level
* AutoCAD ability at City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent and proficient in Revit
* Knowledge and experience of project management procedures and requirements, including budgetary control and stakeholder consultation, design and on-site work
Other Information
* You must have a full current driving licence and be able to travel as required. Use of your own vehicle may be required; a service vehicle may be available (manual transmission only). Travel across Dorset & Wiltshire for site visits approximately 1–2 days per week. Reasonable adjustments are welcome in case of disability.
* Standard Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance will be undertaken prior to offer of employment.
* Offers are subject to full pre-employment checks (identity, right to work in the UK, medical, drug test, references, and employment history). Health surveillance may be required upon appointment.
* Market Force Supplement of £4,127 (subject to annual review) applicable for a maximum of three years, with annual reviews. If justification ceases, payment will cease.
