Excellent opportunity for an ambitious salesperson to join the technical sales team at a world-leading instrument vendor.
A leading multi-national entity provides industry-leading analytical instruments to scientific organisations across the globe. Joining their expanding commercial team, you will be responsible for growing sales of High-resolution MS systems across all application and industry sectors, including academic, pharmaceutical, and research sectors.
As a Business Development Manager, you will collaborate closely with regional sales and marketing teams, craft strategic plans, and foster strong customer relationships. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Lead generation - Initiate contact to understand client requirements and analytical challenges/goals
2. Technical expertise - Engage in discussions and advise on product solutions
3. Sales support & enablement - Contribute to the instrument demonstration process
4. Tactical sales planning - Develop and negotiate sales and project completion strategies
5. Product development input - Guide product enhancements through communication with customers and internal teams
You will serve as a key interface between in-house teams and customers, ensuring the business responds to customer needs while maintaining high-quality services and products. Additionally, you will attend and support industry events and conferences, and stay informed about competitor products and applications.
To qualify for this role, you should have:
* Minimum of a BSc in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience
* 3-5 years of sales/business development experience in the analytical instrumentation sector
* Practical knowledge or experience with Mass Spectrometry (High-res MS experience is advantageous)
* UK Driver’s License and residency within 90 minutes of an international airport
* Resilience and problem-solving skills
