Unqualified Support Worker – Secondary School | Full-Time | Mountain Ash
£89.38 per day (£13.75 per hour)
Location: Mountain Ash | Full Academic Year | Secondary School
Are you a calm, dependable individual who enjoys supporting young people and wants to gain valuable experience in education? One of our supportive partner secondary schools in Mountain Ash is looking for a full-time Unqualified Support Worker to join their team for the upcoming academic year.
No teaching qualifications? No problem. We’re looking for the right attitude – not certificates.
About the Role:
In this rewarding Support Worker role, you will:
• Work alongside teachers to assist with learning and classroom tasks
• Support pupils aged 11–16, including those with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH
• Help promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation in the classroom
• Provide 1:1 or small group support during lessons
Who Should Apply?
This role is ideal for someone who:
• Is patient, reliable, and enjoys working with teenagers
• Has experience in care, youth work, mentoring, customer service, or a similar field
• Is interested in starting a career in education, even without formal qualifications
What You’ll Need (We’ll Support You With This!):
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• Two references from the past 2 years
