About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Health & Safety Administrator to support our Health & Safety operations across the Welsh Water contract and other key divisions. This role provides essential administrative, reporting and coordination support to the HSEQ Manager, Advisors and Director.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience, excellent IT skills, and the ability to work accurately with data in a fast‑paced environment. Experience in Utilities, Construction or Civils would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Reporting Support
* Provide day‑to‑day administrative assistance to the HSEQ Manager, HSEQ Advisors and HSEQ Director.
* Compile and maintain spreadsheets, reports and documentation for internal and external use.
* Prepare PowerPoint presentations showing trends, statistics and performance indicators.
* Manage and assess incoming near‑miss submissions, ensuring accurate data entry and follow‑up.
* Assist with Occupational Health assessment scheduling and coordination.
Systems & Data Management
* Maintain and update information on E20, SharePoint and other internal systems.
* Ensure data is accurate, up‑to‑date and stored in line with company procedures.
* Support the creation of H&S communications and updates for distribution across the wider business.
Operational Support
* Assist HSEQ Advisors with depot inspections, fire alarm tests and routine compliance checks.
* Order equipment and supplies for the HSEQ team as required.
* Support the coordination of HSEQ processes and ensure consistent follow‑through.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Strong administrative background with excellent organisation and time‑management skills.
* Proficient user of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to manage, analyse and present data accurately.
* Confident communicator with the ability to create clear written communications.
* Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Desirable:
* Experience within Utilities, Construction, Civils or a similar operational environment.
* Experience working with SharePoint or database systems (e.g., E20).
* NEBOSH qualification or IOSH Managing Safely (or a willingness to work towards this).
Personal Attributes
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
* Strong team player capable of supporting a busy HSEQ department.
* Positive attitude with a commitment to driving safety culture.
