Contracts Engineer
Location: Elland, West Yorkshire
Pay Rate: £20—£23 per hour (working Monday to Friday)

Total Recruit are looking for a skilled Contracts Engineer to assume responsibility for overseeing the identification of parts and equipment, to aid the business in the compilation of quotations and the day to day organisation and responsibility of themselves and teams engaged on specific projects whilst on clients sites and in the workshop.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring appropriate targets and time scales are monitored reported on and achieved
2. Working with the project Engineers/Managers to facilitate the delivery of technically challenging projects, within budget on schedule and to the desired quality and in accordance with the site constraints.
3. Co-ordinating the installation activities across multiple sites whilst utilising various disciplines.
4. Scheduling tasks to maximise manufacturing output, maintain efficiencies and reduce costs
5. Ensuring teams have the necessary materials and equipment delivered on time with maximum prior notice to purchasing, fit for purpose and functioning correctly.
6. Assisting in the compilation of risk assessments and method statements.
7. Monitoring and managing the health and safety of the teams on site and in the workshop.
8. Interpreting and applying customers engineering and hygiene standards
9. Ensuring any on site project changes are captured and communicated back to the Project Engineer.
10. Monitoring the team’s quality, performance, development and welfare
11. Be commercially aware and identify sales opportunities
Skills / Qualifications required:
12. 5 years plus experience in a relevant production or engineering discipline.
13. Apprentice trained in a relevant mechanical engineering field
14. Experience in low volume and uniquely designed HPS products and systems.
15. Be competent in the technical aspects of process engineering within a similar industry
16. Take the lead on installations to progress them and use initiative to rationalise decisions
17. Excellent team working, people management and organisational skills, being able to prioritise requirements
18. Possess a good understanding of the principles of mechanical engineering and hygienic practice within the food environment.
19. Experience in delivering solutions to technical issues.
20. Experience of technical projects including working to tight timescales and meeting project milestones
21. The desire to deliver a high level of quality and customer service and encourage others.
22. Strong problem-solving skills and with the ability to delegate when necessary.
23. Full & current UK driving licence
