8.00am – 16.30pm Monday to Thursday (30mns lunch break)
8.00am – 13.00pm Friday (no lunch break)
Roxel is an Anglo-French company that designs, develops and manufactures solid propellant rocket motors for use in tactical missiles. Its operations are spread across several sites in the UK and France and it has an annual turnover of about £100M and nearly 700 staff.
The UK operations are entirely based at Summerfield, Kidderminster, where we have a vacancy in the Finance Department for a Project Accountant.
Reporting to the Management Accountant supporting the Projects with their day to day activities and helping them achieve their business objectives whilst ensuring the integrity of the financial data and ensuring that the risk and rewards are clearly presented and understood.
Responsibilities
* Weekly sales forecast data
* Monthly Contract Status Report (CSR)
* Project cashflows forecasts – including agreement of payment plans with customer
* Variance analysis to budget
* Hedging of foreign payments
* Supporting of Customer invoicing
* Support in the preparation of quarterly estimate at completions (EAC) Inline with IFRS15 / FRS102
* Tracking of Variation of Price (VoP) indices and annual invoicing
* Support the preparation of annual budgets / 5-year plan
* Liaison with internal & external auditors on project queries
* Integrity of all Project finance data
* Involvement in bids and order intake to ensure the financial risk and rewards are clearly understood
Additional Duties
• To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required by the department and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.
• To assist the Management Accountant with ad-hoc analysis and requests.
Knowledge & Experience
* Have an awareness and experience in project/business related matters
* Strong Excel skills as job involve extensive work on spreadsheets
* Excellent communication abilities to liaise with all levels of stakeholders and the ability to communicate with non-Finance staff with a focus on business performance.
* A sound commercial and financial understanding.
* Previous experience within a finance environment.
* An interest in continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* 5 GCSE’s at level 4 or above (must include Maths & English).
* Newly Qualified AAT or equivalent, preferably with a willingness to study towards CIMA or similar.
