We’re looking for an experienced Grants Officer to join our Economic Development team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) for a 9-month fixed-term contract. 22.5 hours, 3 days per week. Secondment opportunity considered. Drive local economic growth. Empower businesses. Deliver impact.
We’re looking for a motivated Grants Officer to support the delivery of business grant programmes funded by central government and other public sources, including UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF). You’ll help ensure that funding reaches the right businesses, supports innovation and growth, and aligns with our wider economic development goals.
Key responsibilities
* Administering business grant programmes from promotion to post-award monitoring.
* Supporting local businesses through the application process with clear, practical advice.
* Assessing applications for eligibility, value for money, and strategic fit.
* Monitoring project delivery and collecting evidence of impact.
* Ensuring compliance with funding regulations and audit requirements.
* Working closely with colleagues across finance, procurement, and regeneration.
About You
* Has experience in grant management, business support, or economic development.
* Understands the needs and challenges of SMEs and local enterprises.
* Is confident working with financial and project data.
* Is organised, analytical, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Experience with government-funded programmes such as UKSPF, REPF, or similar is highly desirable.
