We have an opportunity for a Senior Theatre Practitioner Nurse to join their team in the Theatre department. This is a full-time role for hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover shifts Monday to Friday, with specific hours to be confirmed, plus on-call work.
Your role
* Deliver safe, quality care for patients during their pre-operative phase.
* Support, coordinate, and actively assist in managing and organizing care within the operating department.
* Provide quality planned care during the peri-operative phase, ensuring all team members deliver appropriate clinical and managerial leadership.
* Lead in the delivery of patient care over specified periods.
* Ensure patient safety checks are conducted according to policy, with all practitioners adhering to it.
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
* Develop and enhance skills and knowledge of oneself and others.
* Promote evidence-based practice within your scope.
* Apply legislation, policies, and procedures correctly.
* Achieve objectives while demonstrating Circle Health Group behaviors.
Qualifications and experience needed
* Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
* Post-registration qualification relevant to the specialty, such as Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant.
* ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
* Recognized anaesthetic course.
* ILS certification.
* Orthopaedic skills.
* Mentorship qualification.
* ILM3 qualification.
* Experience working in an acute healthcare environment.
* Experience managing and leading a clinical team.
