The Role
Passenger Assistants are vital in supporting young people with special educational needs, ensuring a safe environment during journeys from/to home and school.
You will ensure passengers board and are secured on vehicles such as buses or taxis, and oversee their safety, behaviour, and wellbeing.
Relevant training will be provided for this rewarding role.
Contract Details
We offer 15-hour term-time contracts with core hours from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and 2:45 pm to 4:15 pm, Monday to Friday.
Casual Passenger Assistants are also recruited to cover sickness, holidays, and busy periods.
About You
You should be able to work with children and adults with various needs, demonstrating dignity and respect, and communicate effectively with parents and carers.
Essential qualities include compassion, flexibility, motivation, and the ability to follow instructions and remain calm in emergencies.
You must be physically fit to run, bend, stretch, push, pull, lift, carry, and kneel as required.
Good organization skills and adaptability to changing situations are also important.
