We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Oakwood, a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton.
About The Role
HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prisons in the UK, housing over 1,500 men. The Pharmacy team comprises 10 Pharmacy Techs and 2 Pharmacy Assistants. There are three main houseblocks each with two dispensaries, and three smaller units each with one dispensary.

* Weekday and Weekend shifts - 7:30am - 5:30pm
Bank Hourly Rates
* Weekday - £21.76
* Weekends - £23.61
* Bank Holidays - £28.33

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding quality-based, patient-centred care by listening to and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
* Focus on safe and secure medicines management, maintaining patient medical records to agreed standards and following standard operating procedures.
* Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, from timely administration of medicines to cost‑effective prescribing as per our Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of health‑care professionals.

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC, or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures
* Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential
