This role is ideal for experienced teachers or ECTs who love teaching across different year groups and want to enjoy a varied and rewarding schedule without planning responsibilities.
Role Overview – PPA Teacher Responsibilities:
As the school’s PPA cover teacher, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning across all year groups by:
* Teaching a range of subjects from pre-prepared planning across KS1 and KS2
* Delivering high-quality lessons that engage and motivate pupils
* Providing consistency and calm classroom leadership in the absence of the regular class teacher
* Working across multiple classes and year groups throughout the week
* Supporting pupils of mixed ability, including those with SEND
* Building strong working relationships with teaching assistants and year group teams
* Providing informal feedback to staff and ensuring smooth handovers
* Maintaining excellent classroom and behaviour management
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Primary teaching experience in UK schools
* Comfortable teaching across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
* Able to adapt quickly to different classes and routines
* Confident in managing a classroom independently
* Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
