Control Systems Engineer – TipTopJob
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Near Glasgow, Scotland (Travel may be required to customer sites)
Salary: £35,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities
* Programming PLCs from scratch (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff)
* Developing HMI and SCADA applications
* Working closely with Electrical Design Engineers
* Taking solutions from concept right through to commissioning
* Delivering projects on time and within budget
* Configuring Variable Speed Drives (ABB, Nidec, etc.)
* Ensuring company standards are always adhered to
* Travelling to customer sites as required for commissioning activities
* Providing remote support for systems
* Creating required documentation
Qualifications
* Degree/HND/HNC/NVQ qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar
* 2+ years of industry experience in an Electrical Controls role (strong graduates may also be considered)
* Confident in programming control systems from scratch
* Experience configuring Variable Speed Drives
* Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes
* Excellent communication skills
* Flexible to travel as needed as part of the role
* Full Driving Licence
