About you Minimum 5 years' experience managing health and safety within food manufacturing or industrial environments Used to the pace and the diverse risk profile Strong knowledge of UK and NI health and safety legislation NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proven leadership and people management abilities Relevant third-level qualification Desirable: NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent) Knowledge of SMETA and ethical trading standards Previous operational experience within the food manufacturing sector Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards What you'll do Lead and optimise the site's health and safety management system, ensuring ISO 45001 compliance Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions Monitor safety performance through KPIs, developing improvement strategies Conduct risk assessments, audits, and prepare for external inspections and audits Manage contractor safety standards and oversee permit-to-work procedures Liaise with regulatory bodies such as HSENI and HSE Develop and test emergency response plans through regular drills Support operational teams on risk mitigation, safe systems of work, and statutory compliance Drive safety communication, training, and culture enhancement initiatives For further information on this job, apply via the link or contact the VANRATH office for a confidential chat today.
