Job Title: Hospitality Tutor
Location: Plymouth (with travel across Devon)
Salary: £28,000 £32,000 (pro rata, part-time)
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time
Hours: Negotiable (circa 1822.5 per week)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Tutor to deliver engaging, accredited training to adult learners across Plymouth and Devon. This role will focus on sector-specific Skills Bootcamps, supporting participants to develop their skills and progress into sustainable employment.
You will deliver small group training (up to 12 learners per cohort) in community venues, with a focus on hospitality, leadership, and essential workplace skills. Courses include accredited qualifications such as:
* City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Principles
* City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
Programmes also embed employability support, such as CV writing, interview preparation, and confidence-building, with guaranteed job interviews arranged via local employers.
This role is ideal for a dynamic, learner-centred tutor with a strong background in hospitality, who is passionate about inspiring and supporting adults into rewarding careers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver accredited, classroom-based training to adult learners on Skills Bootcamps.
* Complete learner initial assessments and create tailored action plans.
* Monitor and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to curriculum design, schemes of work, and learning resources.
* Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and safe learning practices.
* Support learners with pastoral needs and career progression advice.
* Liaise with employers and colleagues to ensure strong learner outcomes.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Essential :
* PGCE or Level 4 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards).
* Relevant degree or substantial sector experience in Hospitality.
* Experience delivering adult education or vocational training.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Enhanced DBS (funded by employer).
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the hospitality industry and progression routes.
* Experience embedding employability into vocational training.
