This amazing contract role for a Parts Coordinator is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and skills with a world leading F1/motorsport business, based in Woking, Surrey.
You will be a key member within the team and the person that secures this position will be crucial to the success of the team on its F1 and motorsport projects.
This role is 100% based in Woking and will initially run for 6 months.
Purpose of the Role:
This role is to support the Operational move in phase of stock items into the offsite storage facility.
Accuracy in handling, storage, archiving, scrapping,logging, recording movement of Merchandise and Commercial stock, all Heritage items including car parts, assemblies and equipment is essential.
The role is focused on maintaining safe, organized and cost-effective storage of our assets along with supporting lead contacts in Commercial and Heritage during the move in phase.
Data accuracy and operational efficiency is key. Previous experiences of Checkroom stock management system is a distinct advantage.
This role is based at our storage facility and supports the logistics operations across F1 and you will work closely with all logistics functions across previous cars, and Commercial teams to archive, store, pick and move components between Brooklands and current satellite storage locations.
The role involves physical handling of high value motorsport merchandise and stock, Heritage race car components, regular forklift operations and a strong focus on safety, accuracy and process discipline.
Principal Accountabilities:
Carry out Stock check and confirmation of quantity of any given item entering the Brooklands facility.
Ensure every item is logged and traceable on the checkroom system.
Archiving and Cull of Heritage parts and assemblies in line with defined storage strategies and policies.
Condense and rationalize stock based on alignment to the quantity of active and running Heritage assets and Commercial need.
Support and improve space utilization and increase operational efficiency.
Receive, unload and correctly store inbound Commercial stock and Heritage car parts.
Stock check and cycle count inventory to confirm accuracy.
Ensure all stock movements are accurately transacted within inventory and logistics systems.
Safely operated forklifts and other warehouse equipment in accordance with training and site rules.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment at all times.
Support continuous improvement activities within the warehouse, including layout optimization, process definition and data quality improvements.
Adhere to all company policies, health & safety requirements and local site procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or stores environment is desirable.
Practical knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping and stock control.
Previous Checkroom operating system experience is a distinct advantage.
Javelin system previous experience is a distinct advantage.
Experience of handling high value or sensitive Stock.
Forklift licence (counterbalance and/or reach) or willingness to be trained and certified.
Basic IT skills with the ability to use inventory or warehouse management systems.
Good understanding of health & safety requirements in a warehouse environment.
Knowledge of car parts, assemblies and their handling requirements.
Ability to recognise part condition, packaging standards and storage constraints.
Appreciation of the importance of traceability, accuracy and care when handling stock.
