Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are recruiting a Teacher of English at The Mary Erskine School for a temporary, part-time role from 14 August 2025 to 4 January 2026. The position is based at the Ravelston site, with a salary on the ESMS Teaching Staff Salary Scale A, pro-rated for 11.75 hours per week, ranging from £19,308 to £27,963 depending on qualifications and experience. Additional hours on Friday are available.
The candidate must be GTCS-registered, hold a subject-specific degree, and be familiar with Scottish qualifications. They should be an excellent practitioner, highly organized, capable of multitasking, and able to foster positive relationships within the school community.
