Overview
Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Hygiene Manager for a meat processing business based in Gloucestershire. This amazing opportunity for a seasoned Cleaning/Hygiene Manager to exercise autonomy and leverage their skills, knowledge, and experience to significantly influence one of the most forward-thinking meat processing businesses in the UK and Ire. Reporting directly to the GM, the successful individual will oversee the management of a dynamic evening shift cleaning/hygiene team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Hygiene Manager
* Efficiently and effectively manage the evening shift cleaning team, ensuring all hygiene functions meet the required standard, and continuously seek innovative ways to enhance efficiency and quality of cleaning processes.
* Maintain adequate resourcing for the department, continually developing the necessary skill base as needed.
* Engage, motivate, and develop the team to facilitate the attainment of KPIs and ensure satisfactory completion and sign-off of all cleaning processes.
* Conduct daily cleaning audits and document corrective actions, ensuring their timely implementation.
* Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by Site Management.
Requirements for the Hygiene Manager
* Proven experience in a hygiene team or department, along with knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment.
* Solid understanding of Health and Safety (H&S) and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations; in-house training will be provided.
* Strong communication skills, effective both within the organization and with external parties.
* Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
* Familiarity with first aid practices and procedures.
* Previous experience in a production setting.
* Team-oriented mindset in a busy work environment, with a practical, hands-on approach.
