A Leading Aerospace client based by Henley on Thames have a 6-month initial contract opportunity (QDOS assessed as OUTSIDE IR35) for a hands-on, detail-oriented engineer to support the development of cutting-edge electronic systems for next-generation space technology. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of testing and validating advanced electronic assemblies using industry-standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, power supplies) and automated functional test setups to ensure the next generation of boards are functioning correctly. This involves automated test of spectrum analysers.
You’ll play a key role in identifying, documenting, and troubleshooting hardware issues—working closely with our electronics design team to drive solutions. You’ll also leverage scripting tools and interfaces (such as USB-I2C, USB-UART, and command-line automation) to streamline and enhance test processes.
From performing meticulous visual inspections to executing first power-on checks for new PCB assemblies, your contributions will ensure our systems are built right from the ground up. If you’re passionate about precision, problem-solving, and space technology, we’d love to hear from you.
