Have you got a construction and maintenance background and are looking for a new career and a good staff motivator? At NHS Highland, we have a full-time vacancy within our Estates Department for a Senior Operations Manager to support the Head of Estates Operations overseeing work in properties across North Highland. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic and motivated, able to react and think quickly to deal with breakdowns within the NHSH estate, manage small-scale projects, and efficiently coordinate contractors or in-house trades teams to carry out maintenance work safely. The post is primarily based at Raigmore, with potential travel to sites across NHSH. The role requires effective management, quick reactions to critical faults, and the ability to prioritize daily work to contribute to excellent patient care.
What we are looking for
* Experience managing and motivating a large team, with a commitment to delivering effective and efficient services, sometimes outside normal working hours.
* Knowledge and experience of the SHTMs within Healthcare is preferred.
* Experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous.
* A current UK driving license is essential.
* Recognized qualifications as detailed in the job description.
* A great team player who is self-motivated with a flexible approach to work, willing to participate in the 1:6 on-call rota.
