We are currently looking to recruit a salaried General Practitioner into our Hywel Dda University Health Board managed practice located in Tenby which joined the Hywel Dda University Health Board portfolio of Managed Practices from 1 August 2018, following the resignation of the GMS contract.
This is an opportunity to join a circa 7,200 patient practice. You will be part of a multi‑disciplinary team that includes Advanced Nurse/Paramedic Practitioners, Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician support as well as experienced and well‑established nursing and administrative teams. The Health Board is committed to multi‑disciplinary team working and will be looking to expand the team further in the coming months.
We are looking for a Salaried GP to join our existing team of 5 salaried GPs to provide leadership as well as a clinical commitment and can offer a mix of face‑to‑face consultations, telephone triage and remote consultations. The practice uses E‑Consult and has signed up to Workflow Optimisation.
You will be part of the wider Health Board GP team and have the opportunity to participate in peer support through the Deputy Medical Directors team, as well as from your salaried GP peers and from the Primary Care Cluster Locality Lead. There is the opportunity for training and development in any areas of specialist interest.
Responsibilities:
* Provide a high quality general medical service to the registered patients of the practice (including temporary residents).
* Consult and appropriate clinical management of patients attending the practice, or to those where a home visit is clinically necessary.
* Provide leadership, clinical oversight and direction to the rest of the clinical team.
* Provide telephone and/or virtual consultation and appropriate management of patients who contact the practice.
* Undertake telephone triage as and when necessary.
* Keep accurate and legible records of all patient contacts and contribute to electronic data recording and audit as directed by the service.
