Overview
We are seeking a certified nurse or paramedic to provide healthcare to detainees within the criminal justice system. The role involves delivering round‑the‑clock coverage in custody suites and collaborating with the Police to ensure detainee safety.
Responsibilities
* Deliver clinical care to detainees in a custody suite setting.
* Work a shift pattern of 4 on shifts and 4 days off: 06:45‑19:00 for 2‑day shifts followed by 18:45‑07:00 for 2‑night shifts.
* Be flexible to cover across an assigned region of Police Custody Suites and Force area.
Qualifications
* RN, RGN or RMN with dual registration – 2 years post‑qualification, Band 5 minimum.
* Paramedic – 2 years post‑qualification.
* Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience in a patient‑facing role within a relevant field: General Practice, A & E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk‑in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service.
* Driving licence (required).
* Must have RTW in UK, lived in UK British Passport or ILR for 3 years + no gaps out of country more than 3 months.
* All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting.
Remuneration & Benefits
Salary: £41,000 per annum.
Bonus: £1,000 when completed 12 months service.
Average estimated overtime: £3,500 per annum.
Full time – fixed shift working in a team rota pattern.
NMC/HCPC registration paid.
