Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual who is looking for a new professional development in their caring role and progressed as a Registered Manager to lead our 5-bedded residential service for individuals with learning disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance of the home, ensuring that each resident receives person-centred, safe, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Management:
* Provide strong, effective leadership to the care team.
* Create and maintain a positive, open, and inclusive working environment.
* Oversee staffing, training, supervision, and development of care staff.
* Care Delivery:
* Ensure high-quality, person-centred care that promotes residents' independence, dignity, and choice.
* Maintain detailed care plans and risk assessments for each resident.
* Foster positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and regulatory bodies.
* Regulatory Compliance:
* Maintain the home's registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and ensure ongoing compliance with all standards and regulations.
* Lead on inspections and implement action plans as required.
* Maintain accurate records and reports in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
* Operational Management:
* Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy effectively.
* Ensure health & safety, safeguarding, and medication management protocols are followed.
* Lead quality improvement initiatives and internal audits.
Essential Requirements:
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care (or willingness to complete).
* At least 2 years of leadership role or supervisory experience in a similar setting.
* In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and standards.
* Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
* Ability to work flexibly and be on-call as needed.
Desirable:
* Previous experience as Team leader/ deputy manager role in a small residential service.
* Familiarity with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and person-centred planning.
* Experience liaising with multidisciplinary teams and local authorities.

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
