Job Description:
We are looking for a Building Services Manager, based in Warrington, to join our Design team. What will you be responsible for?
As Building Services Manager, you will work within our Mechanical, Electrical, and Technology team, leading the design and implementation of MEP systems in buildings. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, project requirements, and client expectations, demonstrating technical expertise, project management, and leadership skills, with a strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and sustainable design principles.
Your daily responsibilities include:
* Leading the design process for all building services, providing in-depth knowledge of MEP systems, their integration, and performance, and overseeing project execution to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
* Managing and mentoring a team of engineers, designers, and professionals, and interacting with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
* Ensuring all designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, standards, and promoting sustainable solutions.
* Identifying and resolving technical and logistical challenges during design and construction phases.
* Providing strategic direction to grow the team, establish collaborative relationships, and maintain high staff utilization.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal if:
* You are a Chartered Engineer, a member of CIBSE or IET, with a Degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
* You have significant experience demonstrating your capability, high-level knowledge, and experience in your discipline, with familiarity in design software such as Cymap, Amtech, NBS, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and PowerBI.
* You can demonstrate managing and leading a multi-disciplinary team, with a proven track record of achieving performance targets.
