Pay rate: £31 per hour
Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker Assistant Team Manager to help lead a team of Qualified Social Workers within the Children with Disabilities Team. You will be part of a fast-paced, busy, and supportive team that assesses and works with Children and Families.
The Assistant Team Manager will support and supervise the team, primarily providing regular supervision to develop pathway planning for young people to ensure they have equal opportunities to study, work, and live in high-quality accommodation that meets their needs. The successful candidate will also provide supervision to Personal Advisors within the service.
This role involves the day-to-day management of a team of Social Workers and other professionals in delivering statutory and legislative duties, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people, managing risk, and ensuring key performance targets are met. The role promotes collaborative working across teams and partners, embedding the council’s values and child care policies, and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective practice aligned with social care legislation and local government requirements.
You will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services, making assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions based on your social work experience and communication skills. Building and maintaining relationships with service users and agencies is essential to meet identified needs.

Ideal candidate:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* SW, CSS, DipSW, or Social Work Degree; creative, flexible, forward-thinking
* Experience in a Social Services Directorate or statutory/voluntary agency
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
* Experience working with diverse client groups
* Skilled in building relationships with children and families
* Experience in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
* Knowledge of social work legislation
* 4+ years qualified
