Secondary English Teachers or Tutors/ Lecturers - Secondary Schools (KS3 & KS4) in Cheltenham

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for qualified & unqualified Secondary English Teachers in any subject specialism, as well as general cover teachers, to work in secondary schools in the Cheltenham area. We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable educators who are keen to make a difference in the classroom. Whether you're looking for short-term cover, long-term placements, or a potential route into a permanent role, we can support you in finding the right opportunity.
These exciting teaching roles are available from April until July 2026, with flexibility to suit your availability and location. We work with a wide network of secondary schools in and around Cheltenham, offering a variety of placements across subjects and year groups.
Key Information:
1. Roles available from as soon as March/April until July 2026
2. Flexible work offered from 2-5 days per week
3. Working hours: 8.30am-3.30pm, weekdays only
4. Pay between £140-£300 per day, depending on experience and role
5. Opportunities to move on to direct school contracts in the future
We are looking for teachers who:
6. Have a passion for education and supporting students aged 11-18
7. Can adapt to different subjects and classrooms with confidence
8. Build strong relationships and act as positive role models
9. Manage behaviour effectively while showing calmness, empathy, and encouragement
10. Bring energy, adaptability, and enthusiasm to their lessons
Essential Requirements:
11. Hold QTS status or have strong teaching experience in secondary schools with proven experience (references will be requested)
12. Hold an enhanced DBS Disclosure and provide overseas police clearances (if applicable)
13. Provide professional reference checks (completed on your behalf)
14. CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
15. Hold the legal right to work in the UK
