Our Degree Apprenticeships offer a full degree with no fees, plus vocational training with a regular salary. Business Administration are responsible for a wide range of office and business administration tasks to support the procurement function. They have responsibility for delivering in line with defined objectives, taking decisions to manage stakeholder expectations by leading a multi-skilled, cross-disciplinary team to deliver the project to time, cost and quality requirements.
As a Business Administrator degree apprentice, you will be the primary interface with the nominated supplier(s) and responsible for the relationship between the supplier and Airbus. You will be fully responsible for managing the purchase phase of the supply chain core process and delivery of hardware to projects on time, to cost and fulfilling all performance and quality requirements. Via industrial placements, you will also gain exposure to other areas of the business (equipment/spacecraft production, logistics, Product/Quality Assurance, systems engineering etc.) in order to attain a broad understanding of all stakeholder's activities and to build a strong network.
What you will be doing:
* Supporting a wide range of business activities such as project coordination, document control, team administration, and internal communications;
* Preparing reports, presentations, and documentation in support of departmental goals;
* Scheduling and organising meetings, maintaining diaries, and coordinating logistics for internal and external events;
* Supporting the implementation of business improvement initiatives and tracking progress against key milestones;
* Assisting with budget tracking, resource planning, and invoice management;
* Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and effective communication;
* Gaining exposure to departments such as HR, Finance, Procurement, and Communications to understand cross-functional business processes.
During the 1st year of the apprenticeship, you will attend a week of Team Building Activities and Exercises at one of the Outward-Bound UK Sites. Split up into teams consisting of Apprentices of all levels from various Airbus Defence and Space sites, you will work as a team to complete daily activities such as Rock Climbing, Hiking, Abseiling, Canoeing and more.
Eligibility:
* 2 A levels which must include Business Studies or equivalent
* GCSE in Maths and English Language at 4/C or above
Requirements:
* The ability to listen, understand and communicate information;
* The desire to work in a technical team environment, with an interest in software engineering;
* A strong interest in developing yourself, especially in the context of software engineering;
* Interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems;
* A passion for coding & engineering (good to have any relevant IT, data management knowledge);
* Interest or knowledge in supply chain/procurement is also a plus
