We are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with a HVAC bias to provide and maintain high-quality building maintenance support for our clients. You will be part of a team of multi-skilled technical support staff that ensure services meet contractual requirements and comply with all relevant regulations. You will assist in supervising contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
1. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Small Refrigeration.
2. City & Guilds Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (7189) Level 2 or 3.
3. City & Guilds Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Heat Pump Systems (6090) Level 3.
4. F-Gas Category 1 (City & Guilds 2079, formerly 2078 Safe Handling of Refrigerants).
You should have a flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive), with a proactive and positive attitude. You will need to effectively prioritize your workload, assist other engineers/staff, and be aware of the business continuity plan relevant to your area.
You should possess strong knowledge to undertake maintenance and installation tasks as per the contract scope, ensuring completion of planned preventative maintenance activities in line with contractual obligations. All assets must be maintained per the O&M Manuals, with adherence to Health & Safety legislation and company policies (fire regulations, COSHH, PPE, PAT testing, etc.).
You will ensure building fabric elements are functional within design parameters, carry out reactive repairs within response times, and record all work accurately. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, plant, rooms, and services in a safe and secure manner.
A commitment to excellent customer service, understanding of current Health & Safety legislation, and statutory compliance is essential. You must be able to carry tools up to 20kg, work at heights, and hold a full UK driving license. Availability for call-outs is also required.
