Learning Support Assistant Role:
* Learning Support Assistants assist teachers in delivering lessons by providing support to individual students or small groups. They may help with tasks such as reading, writing, or understanding instructions.
* Learning Support Assistant s help to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in the classroom. They may adapt materials or activities to suit the learning styles and abilities of individual students.
* Learning Support Assistant s support the inclusion of all students in the classroom environment. They work to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where every student feels valued and respected.
* Learning Support Assistants collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the education of students. They attend meetings, contribute to planning sessions, and communicate regularly to ensure that students' needs are being met effectively.
The successful candidate will:
* Have previous experience working as a learning assistant within an educational setting.
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing academic or behavioral challenges.
* Hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
* Are passionate about supporting the learning and development of student and making a positive difference in their lives.
