As a Lead Software Engineer - UX/React at JPMorganChase within Finance Technology, youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
* Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using ReactJS and Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams.
* Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
* Creates secure and high-quality production ready UIusing React.
* Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas.
* Diagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints as you lead end-to-end design initiatives within a specific domain.
* Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
* Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
* Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
* Gain experience in application development, with a focus on creating efficient and user-friendly software.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability.
* Advanced skills in designing and developing responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using React, Python, and CSS, ensuring a seamless user experience.
* Able to design wireframes and understanding of Salt-Design System.
* Experience with state management libraries (Redux)
* Implement and maintain reusable code and libraries for future use, ensuring consistency and efficiency in UI development.
* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
* Experience using testing frameworks e.g Playwright
* Experience in building reusable components and implementing server-side rendering
* Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Experience and certification in AWS and/or Databricks.
* Proven experience in building and designing large-scale global software solutions.
* Experience in Data Engineering, working with big data, data warehouses, and understanding data modelling; Data Mesh Architecture and building applications using Data Mesh Architecture.
* Familiarity with orchestration tools such as MWAA.
