Solution Architect – RFID, Retail Warehousing, Oracle
Outstanding opportunity to join this global technology consulting business that specialises in delivering enterprise scale architectures specifically for the global retail sector. Typical projects include RFID, smart warehousing, supply chain and fulfilment.
We are seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of a multi‑year RFID programme focused on transforming store stock accuracy, tagging, scanning, and replenishment execution. This is a pivotal role, reporting into the Domain or Principal Architect, and will shape the conceptual and technical foundations of a high‑impact initiative.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of multi‑year RFID programmes.
* Define and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical architecture across business, application, data, and technical domains.
* Lead discovery phases, business case development, and conceptual design.
* Work across multi‑disciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders.
* Communicate and document complex solutions clearly.
* Be willing to work in Reading 1‑2 days per week (rest remote).
Qualifications
* 5+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect within retail, warehousing and RFID stock management systems.
* Proven experience in RFID programmes.
* Strong communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Benefits
£100k-£120k. 12 months fixed‑term contract.
