Job Description
We are working for one of the UK's premier Facilities Management (FM) providers. Following a major contract acquisition, they are now looking for a Technical Services Manager to lead engineering operations across a major campus in Surrey.
The site is large and complex, hosting various critical environments, HV, LV, and complex HVAC systems. The Technical Services Manager will lead the Operations & Maintenance Teams and be responsible for implementing the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of site maintenance activities. The manager will carry out responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Technical Services Manager Responsibilities
* Support and lead account technical leadership to oversee all resources involved in the delivery of Technical Services, including recruitment, ethics, performance assessment, personal development, and wellbeing, to position ISS as an employer of choice.
* Actively manage the professional development of all technical personnel under their responsibility.
* Prepare and implement a succession plan for key engineering service positions across the account within the country.
* Be responsible for implementing engineering technology platforms to support service delivery, including ensuring required reporting from these systems.
* Support the development and effective implementation of standard operating and maintenance procedures for the account (Group blueprints).
* Drive client-specific initiatives such as savings targets, benchmarking, and best practices, including EHS risk management.
* Source, transfer, and implement best practices from group, country, and wider ISS community forums.
Technical Services Manager Duties
* Hold full qualifications, with a preference for electrical expertise and sound leadership experience.
* Possess a current HV AP ticket.
* Have a proven track record in successful people management, including performance management and familiarity with operational HR processes.
* Demonstrate successful delivery of engineering solutions, ideally in a critical environment.
