We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-School Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team.
THE HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY 8-5.30, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in childcare and early childhood education to make a positive impact on children's lives while developing their management and leadership skills.
Duties
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development in line with nursery curriculum standards
* Supervise children during play, mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
* Foster a warm, caring environment that encourages children's independence and confidence
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
* Support colleagues in managing daily pre-School operations and organise group activities
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns
* Assist in the organisation of Pre-School events and outings, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
* Contribute to the ongoing development of Pre-school policies and procedures to uphold high standards of childcare
Skills
* Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
* Strong management and organisational skills to oversee daily activities and staff coordination
* Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and foster a collaborative environment
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
* Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to meet individual children's needs

Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 7.30 – 17.30 per week
