Job Description
The Assistant Distribution Manager (EMEA) will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Centre. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in managing all aspects of DC activity to ensure customer orders are accurately processed and shipped on time, using the optimum carriers to meet delivery deadlines.
In this role you will focus on maintaining efficient workflows, minimising distribution costs, ensuring service levels are consistently met to drive speed to market for both New Era Cap and '47 Brand products. You will work with Logistics, Customer Service, Production, Product and Sales to optimise operational performance, support team productivity and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Liaise between New Era Cap and '47 Brand and the 3PL partners to ensure efficient order processing and shipment of both B2B and B2C orders
* Monitor and coordinate outbound shipments to ensure timely despatch and delivery using the correct carriers. Special focus will be required on key customer accounts to minimise issues and complaints.
* Assist in managing inventory movement and accuracy within the DC.
* Collaborate with warehouse management and supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency and resolve any operational issues in a timely manner
* Help identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce distribution costs.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and regulatory standards.
* Track KPIs related to shipping and cost, providing regular reports to the management team
* Communicate effectively to internal and external teams (e.g. Customer Service) to align on priorities
* Support in the preparation of customs entry docs for consignments.
* Assist the Distribution Manager with invoice reconciliation, audits and other administrative tasks.
* Forecast outbound volumes for DC planning and work with internal teams to ensure accurate order book management to improve accuracy
* General day to day tasks to support the smooth running of the Operations team

* Strong understanding of distribution centre operations
, including order fulfilment, shipping, inventory control, and carrier management.
* Working knowledge of transportation logistics
and the ability to optimise carrier selection based on service levels and cost-effectiveness.
* Proficiency in MRP systems
(SAP a plus) and other relevant software, with the ability to analyse data and generate operational reports.
* Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
