The Opportunity

Working as part of an experienced and supportive team, you'll be involved in the design and coordination of highways, drainage and earthworks packages across a broad range of development projects, gaining exposure to schemes from early concept through to detailed design and approvals.
Projects are varied and can include:
Residential developments and housing schemes
Commercial and mixed-use developments
Retail and logistics projects
Education facilities
Public realm and regeneration schemes
Utility and infrastructure upgrades

The Role
As a Civil Engineer, you'll support the design and delivery of development infrastructure projects across a range of sectors.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the design and delivery of highways and drainage infrastructure for development schemes
Producing highway designs (S38 / S278) at preliminary and detailed design stages
Supporting the delivery of drainage designs (S104 / S98) including:
Surface water drainage
Foul drainage
SuDS design
Flow control and attenuation / balancing solutions
Foul pumping stations
Assisting with earthworks and site level design
Working closely with planners, architects, external consultants, and approving authorities
Supporting project delivery from feasibility through to detailed design and approvals
Producing technical drawings, calculations, and design documentation
Collaborating with senior engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality project delivery
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you should have:
Experience in civil infrastructure design, ideally within highways and/or drainage
A background working on UK development infrastructure projects
Good working knowledge of relevant design standards and approval processes
Experience using software such as:
Civil 3D
MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage
Causeway Flow
PDS
Experience contributing to designs for residential, commercial or mixed-use developments
A BEng / MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience)
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop within a team environment
