Overview
Bally's Security Officers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our casino environment. They deliver exceptional customer service while minimising risk and uphold high standards of security and customer service. The role requires strong people management, negotiation, and communication skills to create a friendly and safe atmosphere for our guests and colleagues. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and as a team member you may be required to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Create a friendly and safe Bally's Casino environment and minimise risk to employees, customers, and company assets and reputation.
* Identify potential risk and discretely report to the appropriate managers.
* Support operations in emergency situations and provide first aid when required.
* Demonstrate understanding of operating licence conditions; Gaming licence entry conditions, liquor licence conditions, SIA licensing conditions, and other applicable operating licence conditions.
* Liaise with Duty Managers and appointed security management personnel on duty regarding all security incidents.
* Adhere to body cam and body cam audio usage conditions.
* Apply Challenge 25 knowledge when appropriate.
* Produce timely, accurate, and legible statements/reports following incidents.
* Use initiative to proactively escalate and communicate risks.
* Be a professional, approachable, proactive ambassador of customer and staff safety within the casino.
Qualifications
* Possess a valid SIA Doors Supervisor Licence with knowledge of SIA legislative requirements.
* Excellent understanding of compliance and security issues.
* Experience as a security officer in a high-pressured and high-volume environment.
* Confident and articulate communicator with strong negotiation skills to minimise risk opportunities.
* Exceptional people management, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Dedicated team player with the ability to act on own initiative.
