We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Consultant Cardiologist with Specialist interest in Devices and Heart Failure to join the existing enthusiastic and progressive multidisciplinary team and work as a key member of the Cardiology team at Mid and South Essex Trusts. The job will be based at Southend Site.
The primary focus of this post is to provide consultant level support to help the expanding device service. Contribution to the MDT process will be expected, involving collaboration with Colleagues at the CTC. You will join the substantive cardiologists within this service to meet the increasing outpatient demands of the fastest-growing town in Essex, working with their Cardiology colleagues in providing inpatient services initially on a consultant of the day rota. You will also undertake clinics and cath-lab sessions and there may be an opportunity for subspecialty interests to be accommodated.
Regarding Inpatients, you will be asked to contribute to the Consultant of the week model and the device on call roster as well as supporting with the Cardiology in-reach service.
