Are you an experienced Learning Coach looking for new opportunities in Birmingham?
Winner Education are seeking a Learning Coach to work in a special school based in the Central Birmingham area. This role will start immediately on a long-term placement and will be part time, 4 days a week. The successful applicant will have previous SEN experience, in particular with SEMH needs, challenging behaviours and communication difficulties, speaking a foreign language is desirable (particularly Romanian).
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils with severe SEN requirements
* Assist the main class teacher in lesson preparation
* Tailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learners
* Assist with pupil progress reports
* Liaise with outside agencies when required
* Support the class teacher with pupil assessments
The Successful Learning Coach Will Have
* Previous SEN experience
* Previous experience working with KS4/5 SEN children
* Strong resilience and patience
* Speak a foreign language is desirable (in particular Romanian)
* Previous experience working with children with EAL and SEMH needs
* Used various communication methods
