Opportunity:
iO Associates GD&S have partnered up with an established organisation who are looking for a highly skilled Senior Test Consultant to join a dynamic, agile delivery team working on innovative central government projects. This is a critical role where the successful candidate will take the lead in embedding both manual and automated testing practices across the full software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:
1. Design and implement robust automated test frameworks across UI and API layers
2. Conduct manual and exploratory testing where appropriate
3. Leverage a range of open-source testing tools and frameworks
4. Embed testing best practices (TDD, BDD, ATDD) into CI/CD pipelines
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, and analysts
6. Continuously improve the test architecture and QA processes
7. Support non-functional testing, including performance, security, accessibility, and operational acceptance
8. Participate in QA guilds and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
Essential Skills & Experience:
9. Strong background in manual and automation testing
10. Proven expertise in Selenium and Java
11. Experience working in agile delivery environments
12. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps culture
13. A proactive, self-directed approach and a passion for quality
Desirable:
14. Knowledge of TDD, BDD, or ATDD methodologies
15. Exposure to performance, accessibility, or security testing tools
16. Experience working in similar, highly regulated environments
