- £550 a day inside of IR35 Reference: 20233 Role Summary The Compute Environment & Asset Lead is responsible for the governance, lifecycle control, and operational oversight of shared x86 environments.
The role ensures all lab hardware, software, access, and usage are appropriately managed, funded, auditable, and aligned to enterprise control frameworks.
This is a Run / Operations role focused on governance, compliance, control, and enablement of shared test lab environments.
It does not replace existing Lab Managers but provides structured oversight and enterprise-level governance across the lab estate.
Key Responsibilities Own and maintain accurate hardware and software asset records for all test lab environments.
Govern allocation, reuse, refresh, and decommissioning of lab assets across programmes.
Ensure all lab usage is supported by approved demand, project codes, or funding mechanisms (e.g., xClarity demand governance).
Access & Control Management
- Provide oversight of console and environment access across lab platforms.
Ensure access requests are formally approved, documented, periodically reviewed, and revoked when no longer required Support audit activities relating to lab asset tracking, funding, and access management.
Maintain evidence trails to ensure lab environments are fully auditable.
Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with shared test environments. xxuwjjq
