About the Role:
As an ECT English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Hartlepool. This role is ideal for someone who is newly qualified and looking to build a strong foundation in teaching, while also making a meaningful contribution to student progress and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities of the ECT Teacher English:
* Deliver engaging and effective English lessons aligned with national curriculum standards.
* Support students in developing reading, writing, and analytical skills.
* Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to plan lessons and assess student development.
* Create a nurturing classroom environment where students feel confident and motivated.
* Participate in training and CPD opportunities to grow your practice.
Job Requirements of the ECT Teacher English:
* A recognised teaching qualification with QTS or ECT (with English specialism).
* Strong subject knowledge in English literature and language.
* A creative, adaptable, and student-centred approach to teaching.
* Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
* A passion for education and a commitment to professional growth.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
