Injection Operator
The Injection Operator performs a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of injection processes and is responsible for day-to-day operations of PET and HDPE injection equipment (primarily Husky, but also other OEMs).
Essential Functions
* Responsible for overall preparation, set-up, starting, and running injection equipment.
* Perform minor adjustments to injection equipment as directed, with no mechanical work without prior approval.
* Accurately complete and update logs and forms related to production and quality.
* Recognize unsafe conditions and follow safety rules, including the use of PPE.
* Perform visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure standards are met.
* Maintain general housekeeping in all production areas.
* Understand different resins (Vpet, Rpet, HDPE) and identify parts safe for grinding and reintroduction.
* Maintain quality requirements and report defects immediately.
* Work in multiple production areas with minimal supervision and perform relief duties when required.
* Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance.
* Understand systems like Shotscope, Electric80, Ignition.
* Optimize line flow and manufacturing processes.
* Communicate issues clearly and concisely.
* Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
* Work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications
* Minimum: 2 years experience in manufacturing and operating multiple machines.
* Preferred: 4 years experience, including managing people/projects.

Education
* Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
* Preferred: Associate's Degree.
