Class 1 driver

Job Duties of the HGV Class 1 Driver:

* Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
* May, on occasion be driving a HGV Class 2 (same Rates).
* Ensuring vehicles are clean and well maintained.
* Secure loads and ensure safe to travel due to the nature of the product.
* Delivery to RDC's and DC's - mostly unloaded but on occasion you will need to unload yourself on to the goods in area.
* Liaise with the transport office teams with updates while out on the road.
* Report any issues or problems.
* Customer facing so presentable, polite and professional at all times.
* Fuel up vehicle at the end of every shift.
* May involve collections on return journeys.
* Average 10-11hr shifts.
