Description Role: Team Leader Residential Salary: £33,400 per annum Dependent on experience and qualifications. A bit about the service: Willow Lodge is an exciting new residential home that offers accommodation and support for children and young people aged 6 - 18 years with social, emotional, and mental health needs. As a Team Leader you will play a vital role in helping our young people achieve their personal goals and develop their independence. You may be asked to sleep in on occasions and you will earn an extra £50 for each one. A bit about the role In the role of Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our children. You will supervise and support residential support workers by providing guidance and training, ensuring they understand and implement care plans effectively. You also work with other professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans that addresses the specific needs of each child. Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times is crucial, which means adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures. Maintaining open effective communication with the children, their families and other professionals, involved in their care is also key. In addition to these responsibilities, you will act as a direct cover for the registered manager in their absence. Furthermore, you'll handle administrative tasks such as managing rotors, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. How you'll help to create brighter futures Guide your team to deliver exceptional care and support, setting the standard for best practices. Create an environment where children develop essential life skills and grow in confidence Champion the rights and needs of each child, ensuring their voice is always heard and respected Foster strong, trusting relationships with the children, their families and other professionals Monitoring and assessing individual progress and development through diary sheets and care plans. Providing management to a team of staff to deliver high standards of care. Leading shifts and supervising staff. Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes. Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people. Leading and assessing staff, carrying out supervisions and risk assessments Let's talk about you. You will find full job description attached job description details the requirements of the role but the ‘must-haves' are: A Level 3 diploma for Residential Childcare Experience of leading a team within a care setting Experience in residential short breaks or children's services Experience of clear, concise record keeping via IT systems Knowledge of Ofsted requirements Understanding of GDPR, Safeguarding and relevant policies Good to know.
