The Point of Care Testing team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a full-time Point of Care Testing Associate to support our expanding portfolio of connected Point of Care Testing devices.
Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) involves analytical testing performed near or at the patient's site, with results potentially impacting patient care. The Pathology department oversees governance activities across the Trust, with POCT working towards ISO 15189 2022 accreditation.
Please note this role is currently only advertised to staff members working within the Kent and Medway ICB.
As a member of the POCT team, you will contribute to the daily delivery of the service, with responsibilities including maintaining specialised POCT equipment, troubleshooting, reagent management, documentation, internal quality control, external quality assessment, training delivery and organisation, audits, and supporting service users.

Fordcombe Hospital, near Tunbridge Wells, joined the Trust in October 2024. It offers planned care, with two operating theatres, 28 inpatient and day-care beds, diagnostic services (X-ray, MRI, CT, endoscopy), and consultation/treatment rooms.
