Role Overview
As a Senior Residential Support Worker you will provide compassionate, person‑centred care to up to six children and young people with autism and associated learning difficulties. You will support the Registered Manager in running a successful staff team and overseeing the day‑to‑day operation of the home, which operates 38 weeks per year.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver compassionate care and support to residents, meeting their individual needs.
* Assist the Registered Manager with staff management, training and team co‑ordination.
* Ensure effective communication with residents, colleagues and external agencies.
* Update care plans and report relevant information accurately.
* Maintain a safe, supportive and respectful environment in line with safeguarding policy.

Qualifications & Experience
Level 3 Qualification in Children’s Residential and Childcare is essential. Previous experience in a residential childcare setting is required. Applicants should demonstrate:
* Resilience in supporting vulnerable children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Organisation and confidence in updating care plans and reporting.
* A caring and compassionate nature.
* Attentiveness to individual resident needs and alertness in all situations.
Additional Requirements
All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including Disclosure & Barring Service checks and at least two references covering the last three years from work with children or vulnerable adults. References may be requested prior to interview for all roles.
