About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Mears Group in an office‑based administrative role in Basingstoke, providing general office support to the RLAP contract. The role plays an important part in ensuring day‑to‑day office activities run smoothly and efficiently through the delivery of high‑quality administrative support.
You will be responsible for a wide range of general administrative tasks that support colleagues in their day‑to‑day work. You will be well organised, detail focused and confident managing multiple priorities, while also contributing to the wider team’s success. The role provides comprehensive administrative support, ensuring documentation, systems and communication channels are maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Chasing and collating documentation where required
2. Booking and coordinating meetings and appointments
3. Updating internal systems, spreadsheets and trackers
4. Downloading, managing and storing documentation accurately
5. Providing general administrative support to the RLAP contract team
6. Maintaining accurate records in line with governance and data protection requirements
7. Monitoring shared inboxes and ensuring actions are followed up in a timely manner
8. Supporting the continuous improvement of administrative and office processes
Role Criteria:
9. Previous experience working in an administrative role
10. Customer service experience
11. Excellent communication skills
12. IT literate with confidence using systems and digital tools
13. Ability to work independently in a remote environment
14. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
