Electric Square is seeking an accomplished, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Senior Technical Designer to join our Brighton-based team working on an exciting, critically acclaimed franchise. The candidate must be located within European time zones.
Role Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with design and engineering teams to architect new features, ensuring requirements are met
* Understand, expand, or create new game systems as needed
* Perform rapid prototyping to validate game ideas
Requirements:
* 3+ years of professional experience with at least one released project as a technical designer working with UE5
* Expert knowledge of the Gameplay Ability System
* Ability to create and modify GAS attribute sets in C++
* Proficiency in using C++ to extend class functionalities affecting the Gameplay Ability System
* Advanced blueprinting skills, including supporting networking and optimization
* Experience in creating tools for designers using blueprinting
* Ability to debug blueprints and set technical standards
* Strong communication skills to explain technical changes to team members
Skills:
* Ability to articulate game concepts and analyze mechanics
* Ability to interpret feedback and plan improvements
* Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Effective time and workload management skills
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude and pride in quality delivery
