Overview
Senior Event Planner takes ownership of high-profile conferences, exhibitions, corporate dinners, and executive events from contract stage to flawless delivery. You’ll manage clients and their expectations, coordinate suppliers, and drive upsell opportunities to maximize revenue, while ensuring exceptional client experiences. Teamwork, collaboration, commercial awareness, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with corporate clients to understand event goals, audience, and catering requirements.
* Advise on menus, room layouts, and logistics, providing expert guidance for premium events.
* Take ownership of function sheets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
* Prepare comprehensive event packs, internal teams and stakeholders.
* Coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols for all events.
* Negotiate with suppliers to optimize quality, cost efficiency, and value-added opportunities.
* Identify and execute upsell opportunities, producing regular upsell reports to drive revenue growth.
* Presents upsell opportunities and achievements during sales meetings to inform strategy and showcase performance.
* Act as the primary point of contact throughout the event lifecycle, ensuring exceptional client service.
* Ensure flawless execution through proactive problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration.
* Conduct site visits and post-event evaluations to drive continuous improvement and deliver premium experiences.

* Confident, approachable, and highly organised with excellent time management skills.
* Strong communicator with a professional telephone manner and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Comfortable managing client feedback, complaints, and compliance standards.
* Is passionate about delivering a world class service to our clients and customers

Essential
* Computer literate
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work to strict pressured deadlines
* Good communication skills to be able to liaise with a wide range of visitors to your work area
* Be able to comply with legislation and follow all rules and regulation laid down in the staff handbook and unit policy statements, regarding uniform, personal hygiene, health and safety.
* Security checked if applicable, SIA, Credit check, depending on the role you carry out.
