Overview
This role is ideal for a Registered General Nurse (RGN - Adult) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) who thrives in leadership, has strong clinical skills, and is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of person-centred care. Working closely with the Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the nursing team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a warm, inclusive environment where residents and staff feel valued.
Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire nursing and care teams, promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous learning.
* Deliver and oversee safe, compassionate, and individualised care tailored to residents' needs and preferences.
* Assist in managing daily operations, including staffing, medication management, and risk assessments.
* Develop, implement, and monitor personalised care plans in partnership with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Mentor, support, and train team members, encouraging career growth and clinical excellence.
* Oversee recruitment, induction, and staff performance to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
* Ensure compliance with CQC standards, infection control, safeguarding protocols, and organisational policies.
* Contribute to audits, quality monitoring, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
* Work alongside the Nurse Manager to enhance the overall resident experience and quality of care.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse qualification (RGN - Adult or RMN) with active NMC registration.
* Proven leadership experience within a nursing home or similar care environment.
* Strong clinical skills, including care planning, safeguarding, and risk management.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* Experience of regulatory inspections (CQC) and compliance standards in nursing care.
* A commitment to inclusive, person-centred care and professional development.
* Additional training in dementia care or advanced clinical skills (desirable).
