Job Description:
My client is looking for a Chartered or near Chartered Structural Engineer to join their well established team in Leeds.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the structural engineering concept design for various types of projects, together with the management and coordination of their engineering team and workload.
Other aspects of the role will include liaison with contractors and other internal teams and carrying out site surveys and inspections as required. As a Senior Engineer you can expect to be involved with an element of staff supervision helping to organise and manage the work of your support staff of Graduate Engineers and Technicians.
Person Specification:
You should have excellent engineering design ability, project planning and computer skills, combined with a commercial understanding of fee management and the control of financial issues relating to project changes.
Good people management and clear communication are essential for working within a multi-disciplinary environment and meeting their Clients.
There will be opportunities for further progression within a developing and expanding company.
Requirements:
-MIStructE or MICE (have or working towards)
7 years minimum design experience in the UK utilising British Standards/ Eurocodes and competent with design of structural elements in most common materials i.e. steel, concrete, composite, masonry & timber.
-UK Driving License
